Lori, I did want to write and tell you that we had a fabulous time!!! Everything went very smoothly. This was great – always on time and very efficient. The car was perfect and Larry Peck did all the driving (we had to tell him occasionaly to get in the left lane, and when he took a right he needed to stay left) with the maps we amassed in the hotels. By the way, the GPS did not materialize – no unit available in George Airport. I do not think we prepaid for one. We loved Sabi-Sabi. In Knysa we did go to Conga Caves and the Ostridge Farm. The other information I wanted you to know was about Botlierskop. It was wonderful!! Half the size of Sabi-Sabi but different. No predators. It was more of a preservation camp. Our tent was fabulous, hardwood floors, a real tent covering, outside shower, bath tub. Food was very good. Not as luxurious as Sabi-Sabi but well worth half the price. We did ride elephants and took a great horseback ride and real close to giraffs. Cape Town was a big city. Hotel was fine and good location. Very into conferences – lots of people.
The Shark dive was good – not too scary. I spent about 30 minutes in the cage and saw 3 great white sharks. Jim spent more time and saw one he could touch!!. The Blue Train was something I would not do again. OK for once. The food was fabulous as were the drinks and service. But I did not sleep a wink. Not used to sleeping on a train. Too much jerking and speeding. But it was a different experience (not worth the price in my opinion). Made JoBerg in plenty of time. Nice airport and got home in the am on Friday. Today is Sunday and I think I am back to our normal time zone. Thanks so much for your help and I would also say thanks to GoWay Travel as they were very responsive also. Sincerely, Diane Carter.
